Jennings Air & Mechanical is a trusted leader in commercial HVAC construction and mechanical systems. We are actively hiring experienced Sheet Metal Mechanics to support our expanding operations in Charleston, SC. If you're skilled in ductwork installation, HVAC fabrication, and sheet metal layout, we want you on our team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and specifications for proper sheet metal duct layout

• Install and fabricate a variety of HVAC duct systems, including TDF, TDC, Slip and Drive, Spiral, and Snap-lock ductwork

• Perform on-site duct modifications, miters, transitions, and custom fittings

• Ensure efficient, clean, and code-compliant installation of air distribution systems

• Work with project teams to meet deadlines and maintain job site efficiency

• Adhere to all safety guidelines, including PPE usage and OSHA requirements

• Maintain punctuality, professionalism, and a strong work ethic on all job sites

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience as a Sheet Metal Mechanic, HVAC Installer, or similar role (preferred)

• Proficiency in reading mechanical blueprints, duct layouts, and shop drawings

• Skilled in installing and assembling both rectangular and round ductwork

• Familiarity with duct fittings, hangar supports, and HVAC layout practices

• Ability to work independently and follow instructions with attention to detail

• Clean background check is required

• OSHA 10 Certification is a plus

• Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills
